Age, repair cost, and failure type — in that order — are what should drive the decision, not what any one repair company would rather you do.
A flat $99 diagnostic fee — waived when you move forward with the repair.
No — we’re a repair company, not a dealer, so replacement isn’t something we sell. Our incentive is to give you an accurate number either way.
Not automatically — a compressor replacement on a well-maintained 8-year-old unit is often still the better economics than buying new.
No — only the specific repair is warrantied for up to 365 days; it doesn’t extend or reset any remaining manufacturer warranty on the rest of the unit.
Most built-in units last 15–20 years with normal maintenance — age alone isn’t a reason to replace if the rest of the unit is sound.
It’s reasonable to, especially for a major repair quote — our diagnostic gives you a specific number to compare against a replacement quote.
Not automatically — newer units have their own failure points, particularly electronics. Replacement makes sense on the numbers, not just the calendar.
